Disclaimer & User Agreement

1. Scope and Acceptance

This Disclaimer and User Agreement (Disclaimer) applies to FindYourLearning.community and the related map, directory, Listings, community features, and content operated by Find Your Learning, LLC (FYL, we, us, or our). It supplements the Terms of Service.

Capitalized terms used but not defined in this document have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.

You accept this Disclaimer when you accept the Terms of Service or use the Service. If you do not accept it, do not use or rely on the Service.

2. FYL Is a Community Platform

FYL helps adults discover homeschool and learning-related classes, programs, events, places, Providers, resources, and groups. FYL is not a school, teacher, tutor, childcare provider, activity operator, event organizer, healthcare provider, professional adviser, referral agency, broker, or licensing authority.

FYL does not provide, supervise, control, or assume responsibility for a service described in a Listing. Providers and users are independent third parties. No Provider, community leader, or user is FYL's employee, contractor, agent, partner, or representative merely because the person or organization appears on or uses the Service.

3. Community and FYL-Created Listings and Provider Claims

A Community-Shared Listing begins with information submitted by a community member, often from a Community Flyer the person found in a public source and reasonably believed was intended for public distribution. The submitter is not required to own the flyer or verify permissions behind information printed on it. Automated tools may extract and format flyer text. A human moderator reviews the proposed Listing and any proposed flyer image for community fit, format, apparent rights or privacy concerns, and obvious policy issues. FYL may crop the flyer image to remove incidental background or framing and display it as the Listing photo to signed-in users. The sharing member does not decide whether the image is displayed.

That review does not confirm that the Provider supplied the information or that the information or image is accurate, current, complete, lawful, licensed, insured, safe, or suitable. Signed-in access and time-limited image links reduce exposure but do not prevent an authorized viewer from copying or resharing an image. FYL may omit or remove an image and may notify a Provider using a public email address and offer a way to claim and correct the Listing.

FYL builds an FYL-Created Listing from the listed organization's own public materials, not information supplied by a community member or Provider. It carries a clear label identifying FYL as the source and stating that the organization has not claimed it, and contains independently written, neutral facts. The organization has not supplied, approved, or verified it. FYL does not rate, review, recommend, or evaluate the organization through the Listing. Confirm material details directly.

FYL does not use a photograph or logo for an unclaimed FYL-Created place or organization Listing unless supplied or authorized by the organization. If FYL selects a public event flyer, it does not call the Listing Community Shared and processes or displays the image to signed-in users only with permission or another documented, item-specific basis covering the applicable use.

An approved Provider claim means a person completed FYL's email-control process and now controls the Listing. FYL then removes the applicable source label. The claim shows current control, not original authorship of each preexisting field. It is not broader identity verification, credentialing, background screening, endorsement, certification, or guarantee. A Provider that retains existing text, marks, or a flyer-derived image adopts it as Provider-managed content and is responsible for its accuracy and for having the rights or other lawful basis needed for continued display.

4. No Endorsement or Verification

A Provider, Listing, group, place, post, comment, question, answer, reaction, resource, or link appearing on the Service is not a recommendation, referral, endorsement, approval, or warranty by FYL. Placement, category, label, editorial formatting, moderation, or inclusion on a map does not mean FYL has investigated or vouched for a person or organization.

Use of a third party's plain-text name to identify an unclaimed Listing does not mean that the third party is affiliated with, sponsors, approves, or endorses FYL. Logos, stylized marks, slogans, and branded artwork are not used in an unclaimed FYL-Created Listing unless supplied or authorized by the owner.

User opinions and statements belong to the person who posted them. FYL does not adopt them as its own.

5. Your Due Diligence

You are solely responsible for deciding whether a Provider, group, activity, resource, place, or arrangement is appropriate for you or your family. Before relying on a Listing or engaging a third party, confirm the material details directly and perform the checks appropriate to the situation. Those checks may include:

• confirming dates, location, cost, age range, availability, Deal limits, cancellation terms, transportation, supervision, and safety practices;
• checking licenses, credentials, insurance, permits, references, and complaint or disciplinary history where relevant;
• asking who will have access to children and obtaining any background or safety screening you consider appropriate;
• visiting the location and reviewing independent sources; and
• confirming the law and homeschool requirements that apply where you live.

FYL's review, a Provider's claim, and another user's submission do not replace your judgment or diligence.

A Private Event withholds organizer-selected details until the organizer grants access, but access controls cannot guarantee confidentiality. Do not redistribute withheld details or another person's nonpublic information without authorization.

6. Safety and Emergencies

FYL does not conduct background checks on Providers, users, community leaders, staff, volunteers, locations, or other persons described through the Service. FYL cannot guarantee conduct, supervision, security, qualifications, or safety.

Use the reporting tool, email safety@findyourlearning.community to report a safety concern, suspected exploitation, or private information, or email support@findyourlearning.community to report harmful content. The Service is not an emergency service and is not continuously monitored. If anyone may be in immediate danger, contact 911 or the appropriate local emergency service first.

7. General Information Only

Information on the Service is provided for general informational and discovery purposes. It is not educational, legal, medical, financial, mental-health, safety, licensing, or other professional advice. Nothing on the Service creates a professional-client, school-family, fiduciary, or similar relationship with FYL.

Homeschool, childcare, licensing, health, safety, and education requirements vary by jurisdiction and may change. You are responsible for obtaining appropriate advice and complying with the rules that apply to you.

8. Accuracy, Availability, and Automated Tools

FYL does not promise that a Listing, map pin, flyer, image, category, Provider statement, user statement, link, public-source detail, or other content is accurate, current, complete, available, accessible, lawful, or free from error. A public source may change after FYL collects it, and a class, program, place, or event may be delayed, duplicated, changed, cancelled, closed, or unavailable.

Automated tools used to read flyers can omit or misread text. Human review reduces but does not eliminate that risk. Report an apparent error so FYL can evaluate it.

FYL does not promise uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation. Maintenance, service-provider outages, technical faults, security events, or other conditions may limit availability.

9. Third-Party Dealings

Any communication, enrollment, attendance, transportation, purchase, payment, cancellation, refund, injury claim, dispute, Deal, or other dealing with a Provider or third party is solely between you and that third party. FYL does not set or collect Provider fees, hold funds for those dealings, create or negotiate Deals, supervise performance, or guarantee an outcome. A Provider is responsible for the accuracy and performance of a Deal it posts.

10. Assumption of Risk and Liability Terms

YOU USE THE SERVICE, USER CONTENT, LISTINGS, AND THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AT YOUR OWN RISK. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FYL DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES AND DOES NOT ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSS, INJURY, OR DAMAGE ARISING FROM A PROVIDER, USER, LOCATION, ACTIVITY, LISTING, USER CONTENT, OR THIRD-PARTY DEALING.

The disclaimers, liability exclusions, liability cap, indemnification provisions, governing law, venue, and dispute provisions in the Terms of Service apply to this Disclaimer. Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes liability or a consumer right that applicable law does not permit FYL to exclude.

11. Relationship to Other Policies

This Disclaimer supplements the Terms of Service. The Privacy Policy controls the handling of personal information. The DMCA and Copyright Policy controls DMCA notices and counter-notices. The Refund Policy controls refunds of Support Payments. The Terms of Service controls any other inconsistency, including an inconsistency concerning contract remedies or liability.
